摘要

The calcium signaling activities at the early stage of GPCR stimulation were investigated by plasmonic-based electrochemical impedance microscopy (EIM) by J. Li and J. Lu in their Communication onpage 13576 ff.Whereas surface plasmon resonance images report the single-cell calcium flux activities, the EIM images reveal the heterogeneity of the local distributions and the transient activities of the calcium-related ion channels.
