摘要

Lead halide perovskites have seen a stellar rise in popularity in particular in form of polycrystalline thin films used in solar cells. In their Communication on page 12486, Q. Bao, U. Bach et al. describe a simple solution-based method to produce single-crystalline perovskite platelets from the precursor (MA)[PbBr3]⋅DMF. Arbitrary perovskite shapes, such as arc waveguides, were prepared and employed to build active electro-optical modulators that achieve over 98 % modulation intensity of wave-guided light.
