摘要

Virus‐like particles that mimic the structure and functions of natural viruses have promising applications in gene therapy. In their Communication on page 14032 ff., Y. Wang, W. Qi, et al. report a strategy to construct peptidyl virus‐like particles (pVLPs). They designed two self‐assembling peptides based on HIV and simian virus 40 sequences. These peptides can enclose DNA to form biodegradable pVLPs with excellent cell‐targeting ability for the nuclear 

delivery of genetic cargo.
