摘要

Sowing the seeds of dissolution Trace amounts of copper fluoride allow direct dissolution of lithium nitrate in an ethylene carbonate/diethyl carbonate electrolyte mixture. In their Communication on page 14055 ff., J.‐Q. Huang et al. bypass the low solubility of lithium nitrate––a common protective additive in ether electrolytes used in lithium metal batteries. A working high‐voltage lithium metal battery retained high capacity and Coulombic efficiency after 300 cycles.
